Cameron Hudson
Cameron Pierce Hudson, hailing from Houston, TX, pursued Medical Humanities at the University of Texas at San Antonio due to an inherent fascination with humanities—delving into sociology and psychology courses during the four-year tenure. Sporting accolades as a Conference USA all-American in track and field and clinching Academic All-Conference for the 2020-21 season, Cameron maintained a commendable 3.40 GPA, securing multiple Dean's List appearances, even attaining the prestigious Presidential List once. Amid this academic journey, grappling with viral meningitis impacted a semester, necessitating a medical withdrawal, fostering a profound interest in neurology and a fervent aspiration to aid underprivileged local communities in understanding such illnesses.
Presently, Cameron remains actively engaged as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and serves as a youth leader within their local church. His commitment extends to various charitable endeavors, collaborating with organizations like local homeless shelters, the Houston Food Bank, and mentoring programs. Throughout the university tenure, Cameron assumed roles as a mentor within the track team, while participating in groups such as the Black Student Health Professions Organization (BHPO), Black Student Union, Men of Honor, and contributing to Conference USA Minority Engagement, exhibiting a steadfast dedication to community and service.
