D’Nyla Dean
FTFP Legacy Brand Ambassador
D'Nyla Dean is a junior Biology major with a minor in Chemistry and a pre-professional concentration in medicine who attends the illustrious HBCU, Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, D'Nyla plans to attend medical school after graduating in May of 2025 to pursue her Medical Doctorate as well as a Master’s of Public Health.
Her career goals consist of becoming a Gynecologic Oncologist who advocates for minority reproductive well-being while advocating and addressing the social challenges associated with a lack of societal support systems. While serving the community, D'Nyla plans to practice medicine with an intersection of her Christian faith in God.
D'Nyla serves as the vice president and founder of the executive board of the inaugural Code Bleu Health Prep Academy at Dillard. Working at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, she also serves as the principal investigator of her community-based research that assesses minority women's reproductive health. D'Nyla has also completed a 4-week inaugural internship at Tulane University School of Medicine in the surgical department in which she passed surgical examinations, learned suturing skills, completed and presented research proposals, and much more.
While doing everything she can in her undergraduate performance to succeed in medical school, D'Nyla is excited to begin her MCAT preparation with 15 White Coats: FTFP to advance to the next step in her career.
