Kyla Williams
Kyla Williams is originally from Atlanta, GA, but moved to Southern California at the tail end of elementary school. As an alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a double concentration in Biology and Chemistry. During her time at Xavier, she developed an interest in the research of oncology and toxicology. Here, she was able to facilitate the toxicological profile of a Novel ceramide analog. After graduating, she worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital focusing on the research, evaluation, and capacity building of organizations and Tribal Nations. She then made a Pivot toward a career as a Research Associate at a Biotechnology company focused on Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism. Outside of scholarly pursuits, she loves cooking, dancing, cycling classes, and self-teaching herself violin.
