Sanaa McNeil
Greetings! I’m Sanaa McNeil, currently a junior college student majoring in Biology Pre-Med at the illustrious Texas Southern University. I take pride in being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and I'm thrilled to have founded the Women In Pre-Med chapter at Texas Southern. This organization is dedicated to promoting women's empowerment, facilitating networking, sharing resources, engaging in community service, and providing a safe and supportive space for women navigating the challenges of this field on campus. As a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, I am actively involved on campus, holding five leadership positions.
Looking ahead, my ultimate goal is to become an Anesthesiologist as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. I'm drawn to Osteopathic Medicine because of its commitment to treating patients holistically—addressing not just the physical aspect but also the mind and spirit. This resonates deeply with my own values and beliefs. The role of an Anesthesiologist appeals to me for its critical importance in medical operations and the unique privilege it offers to assist patients during their most vulnerable moments. My passion for medicine is rooted in a commitment to advocate for preventative healthcare and serve as a representative for those who share my background. With dedication, hard work, and the invaluable support of mentors and the resources provided by the 15 White Coats Program, I am confident in my ability to achieve and exceed my goals in the journey ahead.
