D'Nyla Dean

D'Nyla Dean is a junior majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a pre-professional focus on medicine at the prestigious HBCU, Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, D'Nyla intends to attend medical school after graduating in May 2025 to pursue a Medical Doctorate and a Master's in Public Health.
Her career aspirations include becoming a Gynecologic Oncologist who champions minority reproductive health while addressing the social issues linked to insufficient societal support systems. In her community service, D'Nyla plans to integrate her Christian faith in God with her medical practice.
D'Nyla is the vice president and founder of the executive board for the first Code Bleu Health Prep Academy at Dillard. At the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, she is the principal investigator for her community-based research on minority women's reproductive health. D'Nyla also completed a 4-week inaugural internship at Tulane University School of Medicine in the surgical department, where she passed surgical exams, learned suturing, completed and presented research proposals, and more.
While striving for excellence in her undergraduate studies to succeed in medical school, D'Nyla is eager to start her MCAT preparation with 15 White Coats: FTFP to advance to the next stage in her career.
